Wednesday Snack: Hard Boiled Eggs
- Hard boil a few eggs: a) place eggs in pot and fill with water until 2 inches of water is above eggs; b) place on burner and turn on high until it's a roaring boil; c) turn burner off, cover, let sit for 10-12 minutes; d) scoop out eggs and place in a bowl of ice water.
- When the eggs are cool, let your kids peel the hard boiled eggs
- Explain how eggs come from chickens
Thursday Story Time
- Little Blue Truck by: Alice Schertle and Jill McElmurry
- Big Red Barn by: Margaret Wise Brown
- Click Clack Moo Cows That Type by: Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin
Friday Activity: What belongs on a farm?
- Gather up a variety of animals and things you find on a farm from around the house, photos or books will also work if you don’t have figurines
- Use two sheets of paper. On one piece of paper draw a quick barn, on the other draw a no symbol. Help your child sort things you can find on a farm vs things that would not be on a farm.
- Bonus - If you want to play more, hide the animals and objects around the house. Have your child go on a hunt to find them and sort them to the correct paper.
